The kids like to squirt things April 30, 2008

When Cam had his stitches, the doctor used a syringe thing to squirt water in the wound.  The doctor had said Cam could keep it, but then we all forgot and it was tossed out.  Grandma Christi to the rescue!  She had some and gave one to each of the kids.  Turns out they are great water shooters!  The kids found great fun squirting me as I stood behind the glass door and pretended to be scared.

The trip to Build a Bear April 30, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — saralaplante @ 5:11 am

I took the kids to Build a Bear because Paige was a good girl at the dentist for her crown and filling. She got to pick out a bear (she chose a pink kitty cat) and an accessory. I let Cam choose an accessory for a bear he already has and both kids chose a tent for their stuffed animals to sleep in. After Build a Bear, we went to Stride Rite to get new shoes. Cam measured a 1 wide which explains why cheaper shoes hurt his feet. They each got a new pair of shoes and then stopped at Brookstone to relax in the massage chairs.

Excuse the picture quality.. I was using my iphone.

Some random England Photos April 30, 2008

Jeff gave me a CD of the photos from our trip to England that didn’t have anything to do with the wedding.  Here’s a few of them..  A couple at Stonehenge, Driving on the left side of the road (scary!!), Coombe Abbey in Coventry, our hotel in London and a very old pub in London where I met Roland and his friend for a beer.

Paige went to the dentist April 22, 2008

They decided to do a big filling instead of a crown this time.  I’m glad!  She was a good girl, so this afternoon, she gets to go to Build a Bear and make a stuffed animal.  Photos to follow.

The kids have deep thoughts April 18, 2008

Today, Cam asked how the sun stays on fire.  He said maybe because it has all a bunch of sparks and then asked why the fire doesn’t go out when it rains?

Paige said “Mommy, will you put my shoes on me when I go back and have that marshmallow in my mouth?”  Translation: When she goes to the dentist again next week and they put the cotton in her mouth, will I help her put on her shoes.  Still not sure why she can’t put on her shoes with cotton in her mouth, but I don’t really mind.

Back from Florida April 16, 2008

Jeff and I were in Florida last weekend for a wedding.  The weather was really nice and sunny and warm.  We spent Friday at Daytona Beach with the couple and then Saturday was their wedding.  It was really great getting to know them and their family and to share that day with them.  It was a quick trip and we were back home Sunday night.  The kids had a great time with their Grandma Patty while Jeff and I were away.  They got to see Nim’s Island in the theater, they played at the park and the McDonald’s play land.

Yesterday, Paige had a crown put on one of her teeth.  Poor little girl!!  She said it hurt a bit, but over all, it was okay.  The dentist was so wonderful!  He even took the time to paint her little fingernails for her!  She came out with pink nails and a new yellow balloon and a shiny capped tooth.  She has to go back next week for one more and she’s really worried about it, but I promised to take her to Build a Bear afterwards.  That seemed to help a little bit.

The weekend April 8, 2008

This weekend, the kids pretended to be turtles and then Cam was so worn out he fell asleep on the floor!  Ooh, in other news.. Paige’s hair is now long enough to put in a ponytail!  (with lots of clips to help)
